Dough

2 cups flour

4 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup butter or margarine

1cup milk

Directions

1. In a large bowl mix together flour, baking powder or salt

2. Using a pastry blender cut- in butter or margarine

3. Make a well in the center & add milk slowly. Stir with a wooden spoon until dough comes from side of bowl

4. Turn dough onto a lightly flowered surface. Knead.

5. Pat out dough

6. Spread filling

7. Slice on greased paper

8. Bake 400 degrees for 15 minutes.

9. Yield - ten biscuits
