Kindergarten
Our kindergarteners have learned how to take care of books, and all the parts of a book. Now we are having fun with Nursery Rhymes.
First Grade
We have learned how to find books by the author's last name and that dictionaries are also in ABC order and help us find words. We are Learning about fairy tales and comparing them to fractured versions.
Second Grade
We just got finished learning about the Caldecott Medal. Students even became judges in choosing a Pleasantcott Medal. Now we are learning how to use a table of contents, index and glossary.
Third Grade
We have been learning about the Dewey Decimal System and how nonfiction books are grouped by subjects.
Fourth Grade
We are learning about Porquoi Folktales and creating our own.
