Homework for the week of January 7th

Monday:     Spelling: Complete fill-in sheet

  Math:  Open and Closed Figures

Tuesday:      ELA:  Please read Moving Day in our anthology.  Then, answer questions 1, 2, and 3 in   your homework notebook.  Please use complete sentences.

Wednesday: Spelling: In your homework notebook, write each word one time.  Choose 4 words and   write a sentence for word. 

                                              (she, chin, fish, shell, much, chop, shoe, and chair  )

  Math:  Attributes of Plane Shapes

Thursday:   ELA:  BINGO sheet. Theme: Home Sweet Home.  Remember to leave one sheet at   home and return the other to school.

  Spelling: Study for the spelling test. 

Friday:    Read your favorite story with someone special! Have a great weekend.

Extra Mile:  Remember you earn a ticket when you reach 50 points!

News and Notes

·         We started our new spelling program this week. I sent home a letter describing it last Thursday. If you did not receive it please let me know. We will have a pre-test every Monday and a spelling test every Friday. The red spelling notebook is for tests ONLY!! Look for it on Monday… then sign and return it on Tuesday. Thank you!!

·         Please continue to practice our old Bingo words along with the new ones, especially if your child still can not read them as sight words (automatically without sounding them out).  Thank you!
